Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.
Our customer is looking for an Investment Operations Senior Specialist on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing solutions that support the complex needs of financial advisors, practices, and firms.
- Assess advisor team needs and support the delivery of Retirement Disbursal Services solutions.
- Support execution of retirement distribution services based on client financial plans and retirement-related algorithms.
- Analyze financial plans to evaluate retirement strategy effectiveness within Retirement Disbursal Services workflows.
- Set up and maintain servicing instructions related to retirement distributions.
- Monitor daily cash changes and follow up with advisor teams regarding distribution cash levels.
- Assist in overseeing retirement algorithm decisions using specialized software tools.
- Analyze and prepare proposed investment trades for the advisor team review.
- Respond to advisor inquiries, research retirement software issues, and clarify retirement distribution requests.
- Support ongoing relationships with advisor practices through regular communication and experience check-ins.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Digital Product, Financial Planning Services, and other teams to support retirement service processes.
- Input, track, and analyze retirement plan data and communicate findings to internal teams and leadership.
- Produce reporting outputs involving detailed and integrated financial analysis.
- Participate in onboarding new advisor practices and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service strategy initiatives.
- Support updates to procedures and ensure alignment with program and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of financial services experience.
- Experience with brokerage and advisory investment platforms, products, and services.
- Strong understanding of retirement service offerings and financial industry operational processes.
- Experience supporting sophisticated advisor practices, including fee-based planners, private client groups, or advisory firms.
- Experience assessing operational needs and recommending service solutions.
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
- Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Experience or strong knowledge of retirement planning, personal finance, tax preparation, and financial operations.
- Ability to establish, manage, and improve repeatable operational processes.
- Strong self-motivation, initiative, and accountability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to contribute to group goals and cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification.
- FINRA Series 6 or Series 7 license.
- Experience with Envestnet and Next360 platforms.
