Job description

This individual will work closely with the Director of Finance to help facilitate, administer, track and follow up on all operational, financial and investment activities. We are looking for a trustworthy, detail-oriented, organized, and structured thinker who will provide exceptional support to our members and companies.

Your day-to-day may touch on any combination of administrative, legal, accounting, tax, and finance components that underlie the Angel investing ecosystem, based on day-to-day requirements.

Responsibilities will increase with experience. Initial responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with monitoring, recording and follow up on investment activity and general issues.
  • Maintaining the repository of legal and investment documents for portfolio companies, SPVs and Funds.
  • Working to improve processes and workflows.
  • Assisting with administration of SPVs including tracking initial and follow-on investments, investor reporting, and running votes for shareholder consents.
  • Assisting with administration of Funds.
  • Becoming an expert on Dealum, our deal flow management system.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a fast-paced business environment. Experience in finance, support or operations role preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a love of process.
  • Understanding of basic financial concepts and interest in early-stage investment.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible team player, with a collaborative work style.
  • Commitment to high professional standards.
  • Discretion. You will be handling confidential documents.
  • Excellent computer skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have experience, and confidence working with Excel
