We are seeking a contract IT Business Analyst to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote - EST hours.
Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Research and analyze user requirements, costs, and benefits to support demand management documentation
- Analyze business needs to identify new processes and process improvement opportunities
- Document current-state business processes and models to identify requirements and gaps
- Analyze system inputs and outputs, data flows, hardware, software, and integration needs
- Analyze organizational factors, including roles, responsibilities, policies, and culture
- Evaluate the organizational impact of proposed software and process changes
- Facilitate working sessions and workshops to gather and define requirements
- Support the development of business case documentation
- Ensure alignment with architectural consistency and usability standards
- Define user test cases and validate results during testing phases
- Execute unit and functional test cases
- Conduct system demonstrations and support training sessions as needed
- Participate in the development and review of training materials
- Provide third-level support for production system issues and troubleshooting
- Participate in team meetings and communicate risks or concerns to leadership
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
- Proven experience leading data migration initiatives from legacy systems to ERP platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and management
- Deep understanding of data structures, data quality, data mapping, transformation rules, and validation
- Experience in identifying data risks and gaps early in migration efforts
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to drive outcomes independently
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Experience supporting business domains such as sales operations, order entry, accounting, finance, procurement, warehouse operations, order management, or fulfillment
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and efficient working style
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
- Familiarity with application integration methods and data mapping processes
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies
- Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in dynamic environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on SQL experience
- Experience with Sage X3 ERP
- Experience supporting ERP solution selection and implementation
