We are seeking an IT Business Analyst on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, and candidates in other time zones are welcome to apply as long as they are able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.



Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements
  • Research user requirements, costs, and benefits to support demand management documentation
  • Analyze business needs to identify new processes and process improvements
  • Document current business processes and models to define requirements and identify gaps
  • Analyze system factors, including input/output requirements, information flow, hardware, and software needs
  • Evaluate the organizational impact of software and process changes
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to define and refine requirements
  • Assist in the development of business case documentation
  • Configure and maintain software and technological components of business processes across environments
  • Develop configuration workbooks and obtain approvals from product managers and business owners
  • Plan and execute configuration tasks within established deadlines
  • Define and develop user test cases and validate results during testing
  • Execute unit and functional testing, primarily manual testing
  • Conduct system demonstrations and support training content review
  • Provide third-level production support and troubleshoot system issues
  • Participate in associate meetings and communicate risks or concerns to leadership
  • Participate in end-to-end EDI trading partner onboarding initiatives
  • Support onboarding waves from requirements gathering through production deployment
  • Assist with process mapping, documentation, and coordination across technical and business teams
  • Support both test and production environments during onboarding cycles
  • Collaborate with solution architects on configuration decisions and requirement definitions
  • Support onboarding of high-volume trading partners and multiple integrations


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of hands-on EDI platform experience
  • Strong experience with TrueCommerce or SPS Commerce preferred
  • Experience with EDI trading partner onboarding
  • Experience with EDI document mapping, configuration, data validation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with ERP systems; Sage X3 experience a plus
  • Experience supporting multiple EDI integrations or trading partners
  • Experience working in Confluence and Jira
  • Strong understanding of data mapping and application integration methods
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies
  • Strong documentation and manual testing experience
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Active listening and effective presentation skills across various audience sizes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
  • Experience supporting EDI migrations
  • Experience supporting high-volume trading partner onboarding initiatives
  • Familiarity with configuration workbooks and functional design documentation
  • Experience in ERP solution selection and implementation
