Job description
Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking an LMS IT Consultant on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
This role will be responsible for supporting, identifying, implementing software solutions. This will include working with process owners to identify continuous improvement opportunities and help develop software solutions to support process effectiveness and efficiencies.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Directly providing day to day Support for the Learning management Solution, (Success Factors Learning - Validated LMS or any other similar application)
- Supporting LMS end users, Sales, HR, Doc Control and other main business partners on day to day issues and their resolutions.
- Directly participate in the analysis, configuration, and implementation of LMS IT Business Systems
- Analyze business processes, needs, and requests and recommend, Develop solutions using system standards and best practices
- Conduct analysis of system and functional specifications and configuration then develop appropriate documentation
- Write specification documents for development and other efforts
- Write and execute software validation test scripts
- Develop conversion and system implementation plans
- Train users on new modified system configurations as it affects business processes
- Maintain IT Business system integrity and application notes, system upgrades, patches, changes, automate testing and user updates. All followed by IT validation processes.
- Identifying, supporting, and fixing LMS system, its integrations, or custom program level bugs, and helping in stabilizing the process or tool.
- Responsible for driving LMS projects from IT.
- Troubleshooting SCORM packages/content
Skills/Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of LMS Business Systems Analysis experience in Medical Device, or similar, company.
- Must have experience supporting/developing LMS solutions (Success Factors Learning - LMS Version: VSaaS 1608 or any other similar application) to business requirements, supporting or implementing enterprise software in a regulated (preferably pharmaceutical/medical device) industry, understanding of IT quality methodology and change management including processes and tools, and prior application maintenance/support experience.
- Experience monitoring, and supporting integrations of LMS to SAP or similar ERP Systems.
- Ability to manage medium to large LMS IT projects from conception to implementation including validation
- Knowledge and understanding of Document Control, Sales, HR, Manufacturing, and Engineering trainings processes in a medical device company.
- Detailed development of specification documents for development requirements
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to work with minimum supervision or guidance
- Should be a self-starter and driven. Identify areas of improvement and collaborate to drive them proactively.
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or SCRUM processes
- Familiarity with ALM and Agile
- Familiarity with content development software (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Etc.)
- Familiarity with cross browser content development/conversion (SCORM and HTML5)
- Able to write and execute software validation test scripts
- Demonstrates understanding of basic networking concepts and Windows, Linux based PCs and servers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
