Job description
Our Customer is a leading global, diversified information, services and media company with more than 360 businesses. Its major interests include various financial services, medical information and services businesses, and lastly, ownership in cable television networks; 33 television stations; 24 daily and 52 weekly newspapers; digital services businesses; and nearly 250 magazines around the world.
Our Customer is seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician on a contract basis to join their L2 support team. This role is on-site in Tampa, FL.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing hardware and software support for both MAC and PC environments, along with experience in utilizing SCCM, JAMF, Office 365, and Adobe applications. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in general inventory management and supporting AI integrations with office products.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating with users to understand issues, provide resolutions, and escalate when necessary.
- Evaluate and manage end-user issues and determine when escalation is required.
- Collaborate with IT teams and management to support issue resolution and information sharing.
- Provide desktop support for Mac and PC users, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Support network connectivity issues for both remote and office-based users.
- Provide support for printers, corporate email, mobile devices, scanners, and software applications.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Support Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including installation, authentication, and access issues.
- Utilize SCCM and JAMF for software deployment and application management.
- Manage hardware and software inventory, including asset tracking, desktop refresh programs, and CMDB maintenance.
- Support end users with AI tools and office productivity applications.
- Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and system configuration records.
- Achieve service level agreement (SLA) targets for incidents and service requests.
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook and other email clients.
- Configure, deploy, and support Android and iPhone mobile devices.
- Lead and supervise IT projects as assigned by management.
- Administer and support Azure Active Directory and on-premises Active Directory environments.
- Support antivirus and malware protection tools.
- Troubleshoot login scripts and authentication-related issues.
- Identify and resolve software, network, and hardware malfunctions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of IT support experience.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience supporting users within a large, complex organization.
- Experience supporting a diverse user population.
- Strong desktop support experience for both Mac and Windows environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Experience supporting Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Experience using SCCM for software deployment and management.
- Experience using JAMF for Mac device management.
- Experience with hardware and software asset management.
- Experience supporting mobile devices, including Android and iPhone.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
- Strong knowledge of on-premises Active Directory administration.
- Familiarity with antivirus and malware protection solutions.
- Understanding of login scripts.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
