Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking an IT Facilities & Infrastructure Project Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end IT facilities and infrastructure projects from discovery through closure
- Manage projects across structured cabling, network infrastructure (WAN/LAN/WLAN), DAS, audio visual systems, voice, security, and collaboration technologies
- Facilitate project planning sessions and prioritize initiatives based on ROI and business value
- Develop and manage project schedules, timelines, and resource plans in coordination with vendors and internal teams
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while ensuring successful delivery
- Lead project meetings, track action items, and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and procurement processes
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to provide insights to leadership and track project performance
- Use project management tools to plan, track, and manage project execution and deliverables
- Provide clear communication of project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and PMO practices
- Support demand management and change scheduling for IT facilities projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in dynamic and fast-paced environments
Skills and Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in IT facilities and infrastructure project management or PMO roles
- Experience managing large-scale projects, including low-voltage cabling, AV systems, MDF/IDF design, network infrastructure, and DAS implementations
- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Experience with vendor management, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build executive-level dashboards and reports
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Anaplan, and Office 365
- Experience using visualization and design tools such as Visio, CAD Viewer, Bluebeam, or Lucidchart
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently with strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification and Agile certification
- Experience deploying or improving project management tool ecosystems
- Experience working in manufacturing or corporate IT facilities environments
