We are seeking an IT Implementation Engineer on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote.
The IT Implementation Engineer is responsible for coordinating telecommunications services across branch locations, with a primary focus on voice technologies. This role oversees the provisioning of telephony, fax, and alarm services while collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure seamless installation of new services and decommissioning of legacy systems. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and effective communication across project managers, branch associates, and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement telecommunication services including VOIP, POTS lines, call routing, infrastructure, and cabling services as required.
- Manage multiple installation projects concurrently, ensuring timely execution and compliance with established standards.
- Consult with branch teams to define requirements and translate them into actionable service requests.
- Facilitate provisioning of voice/data services by working with vendors and processing orders via portals.
- Analyze branch locations for telecommunications requirements, ensuring proper service installation.
- Collaborate with vendors on bill of materials and scope of work.
- Ensure completion of standardized tasks for the implementation, installation, and testing of enterprise voice systems.
- Test installations, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions until resolution.
- Document and track all work order activities in enterprise tools (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Project, Planner).
- Coordinate activities with internal engineering, project management, security, and response teams.
- Participate in associate meetings and escalate concerns to management as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in voice telecommunications.
- Experience coordinating and delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively across internal teams and external vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Familiarity with project/task management systems (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Project, Planner) preferred.
- Knowledge of basic networking hardware required to support voice/data services.
- Experience coordinating wireless and data technologies preferred (though primary focus is on voice).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Professional presence and maturity to interact with all levels of the organization and third-party contractors.
