We are seeking an IT Implementation Engineer on a contract basis to be at the forefront of technology, coordinating voice services for branch locations. Your responsibilities will encompass: Coordinating the provisioning of telephony, fax, and alarm services; and collaborating with third-party vendors to ensure smooth installation of new services and disconnection of old services. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, an understanding of voice and data services, a proactive approach to meeting branch needs, and be able to collaborate effectively with third-party partners. This role is 100% remote in EST hours.



Responsibilities:

  • Order and implement the following technologies: Wireless, VOIP, Data routing/switching, call routing technologies, infrastructure, and cabling services as needed.
  • Manage multiple install projects simultaneously.
  • Consult with branch resources to define needs and requirements in accordance with established standards.
  • Order and facilitate the installation of POTS lines for alarm services when applicable.
  • Analyze location for new or existing voice/data services and order via vendor portals or process.
  • Work with vendors to establish requirements needed based on the scope of work and bill of materials.
  • Ensure the completion of standardized tasks and processes to coordinate, implement, install, and test all technical aspects of the enterprise voice and data network and infrastructure, based on defined standards.
  • Test and identify any shortfalls in the initial installation and work follow-up issues to completion.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and tracking of work-order activities in defined enterprise tools, to include completion of all tasks (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Project, Planner).
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, project management, response teams, and security groups, as well as manage third-party contractor activities to ensure location connectivity.
  • Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.


Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in voice telecommunications. Applies broad job knowledge of own job area or basic job knowledge across multiple job areas.
  • Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Understanding of telecommunications, particularly voice systems.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups.
  • Efficiently operate computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Knowledge of project/task management systems preferred. (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Project, Planner)
  • Experience with the coordination of voice, data, and wireless technologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic networking hardware is needed for a network.
  • Poise and maturity to interact at all levels of the organization, as well as with third-party contractors
