We are seeking an IT Project Manager – Insurance Technology (InsurTech) - (Remote - EST/CST) on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote in EST/CST/MST.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects that enhance user support services, ensuring that our IT support operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of IT support processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage project plans for IT user support initiatives
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely and successful completion
- Lead and mentor the IT User Support team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues
- Facilitate regular meetings to share progress updates and gather feedback from team members and stakeholders
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within IT user support
- Establish and enforce best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance service delivery
- Maintain thorough project documentation to ensure knowledge retention, future reference, and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Over 10 years of experience in IT, including more than 5 years as a Project Manager specializing in application support and service management
- Proficient in Applied Systems or Vertafore products such as Epic, Sagitta, BenefitPoint, ImageRight, etc.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Strong understanding of IT support processes and methodologies (e.g., ITIL)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello)
