Job description

Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States., Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.


We are seeking a contract IT Security Analyst to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:


AI Security Solution Deployment

  • Lead the implementation of AI security platforms, with a focus on LLM firewalling and prompt security.
  • Evaluate and procure tools to support GenAI protection across user and developer environments.

Stack-Specific Security Oversight:

  • Endpoint SaaS Applications: Deploy desktop-level security agents to monitor and control prompt submissions to GenAI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.). Ensure curated data is protected, and prompt activity is visible and auditable.

Developer Systems Protection:

  • Implement agentic security capabilities to safeguard developer environments interacting with AI models. Focus on securing local inference, model training, and prompt engineering workflows.

LLM Inference Firewalling:

  • Architect and manage security controls for AI inference systems, including Gemini and Claude. Prevent prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, and adversarial attacks through robust LLM firewalling strategies.

Threat Detection & Prevention:

  • Build and maintain detection mechanisms for prompt-based threats, data leakage, and model manipulation. Integrate with existing security infrastructure to ensure seamless visibility and response.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Data Security, Cloud Security, and Application Security teams to align AI protection strategies with broader enterprise security goals.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically up to two years of technical experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols, or an equivalent combination.
  • Strong understanding of security policy construction and publication.
  • Knowledge of regulations (i.e., SOX, privacy, etc.) and internal controls as they apply to IT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with peers, IT management, staff, and internal/external business partners/clients.
  • Ability to manage various technical projects to completion.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and other business-related software systems. Other technologies will apply depending on the business area supported.
  • Proven experience in GenAI security, LLM threat modeling, and prompt injection mitigation.
  • Hands-on expertise with endpoint security, cloud-native AI platforms, and developer tooling.
  • Strong understanding of adversarial AI threats, prompt engineering risks, and model governance.
  • Background in cybersecurity engineering, DevSecOps, or AI/ML infrastructure security.
