Job description

Our customer offers automobile, homeowners, and other personal lines of insurance to members across 23 states and the District of Columbia. We are looking for a contract IT Solutions Analyst to ensure that the organization's applications and platforms are effectively leveraged to drive business success and enhance efficiency. They act as a tactical partner, bridging the gap between the business and IT to maximize the value derived from these essential technology investments.


This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:


Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

  • Partner with BRMs, BSAs, PMs, Developers, QA, and other IT stakeholders to collect and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align with project timelines and milestones.
  • Build strong working relationships with governing bodies such as the AI Council and Architecture Review Committee.

Documentation & Technical Translation

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, systems mapping, data flow mapping, database queries, and table updates.
  • Review documentation from other analysts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Project Delivery & Oversight

  • Identify and coordinate interdependencies across multiple domains to ensure seamless integration.
  • Accelerate project delivery and drive initiatives to successful completion.
  • Provide regular updates on project risks and issues to stakeholders.

Testing & Training

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and validation.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of training materials for new or enhanced applications.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret data using SQL and visualization tools to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to performance dashboards and reports to track project progress and outcomes.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 6 years of related professional experience
  • Proficiency in IT applications and platforms
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data to support business decisions.
  • Experience with data extraction and analysis using SQL, and data visualization techniques
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Ability to review and provide feedback on documentation created by others.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ability to create and execute test plans and scripts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve user issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with business partners, project managers, and developers
  • Basic project management skills to help coordinate and track project timelines and milestones.
  • Ability to manage tasks based on priorities.
