Job description
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records by verifying, allocating and posting transactions to general ledger accounts while maintaining legal requirements and accounting standards.
- Utilize client point-of-sale systems to record sales transactions and merchant fees.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Collect and file bank and loan statements as available.
- Prepare financial reports and post to client portals.
- File WA state excise taxes on behalf of clients in accordance with their filing schedule.
- Run payroll and maintaining payroll records in Gusto.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable for clients who utilize these services.
Qualifications/Skills
- AA in Accounting, bookkeeping, or other related certification
- 2-4 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting setting
- QuickBooks Online proficiency required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with digital accounting and online point of sale systems such as Square, Shopify, Clover, etc.
