Job description

The Mom Project is proud to partner with a well-known utility company that puts people at the center of everything they do to support a Land Agent on a contract basis. This is a 3-6 month contract with potential to extend or convert.


This role will play a key part in securing the land rights and stakeholder agreements needed to keep critical infrastructure projects moving safely, legally, and on schedule. You’ll work closely with landowners and cross-functional teams across engineering, survey, environmental, permitting, and project management to support property acquisition, negotiate land agreements, manage project risks, and help keep key parcels on track.


Location: Fully remote and preferably resides in southeast FL

Travel: 10%

Note: Role is fully remote, travel only required to support land owners as needed

Mission: Secure the land rights and stakeholder agreements required to deliver projects safely, legally, and on schedule.


Key Duties

  • Support route selection and route optimization activities.
  • Identify affected parcels and required property rights.
  • Develop project-specific land acquisition plans.
  • Perform landowner outreach and relationship management.
  • Negotiate easements, rights-of-entry, temporary workspace agreements, licenses, and property purchases.
  • Coordinate title research and ownership verification.
  • Support acquisition cost estimating and project development budgets.
  • Identify and manage land acquisition risks.
  • Coordinate with survey, environmental, engineering, and permitting teams.
  • Obtain construction access agreements and staging area rights.
  • Manage damage claims and property restoration discussions.
  • Track acquisition progress and critical path parcels.
  • Coordinate execution and recording of agreements.
  • Support public meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Provide acquisition status updates to project teams and leadership.

Must Have: FL Notary License
