Job description

A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Leader Development Coordinator to help support their business needs.


The Leader Development Coordinator supports leader development learning experiences by planning and supporting various learning activities offered across the organization. This role serves as an individual contributor with subject matter expertise and is responsible for supporting aspects of learning transformation and operational initiatives at the business unit level.


Responsibilities include administering and implementing training programs in alignment with business initiatives and learning strategies, while adapting to changing priorities and operating environments as needed. The role requires collaboration with Learning Centers of Excellence, internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners to ensure effective delivery and support of leader development processes.



Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for leadership learning events and learning platforms
  • Coordinate the deployment and execution of leadership development training strategies
  • Manage classroom, building, and asset coordination for in-person leadership programs
  • Coordinate with external vendors for reservations, event spaces, and food services for training events
  • Collaborate with leadership development teams, program managers, business partners, and internal stakeholders to deploy training plans and learning initiatives
  • Prepare and distribute communication announcements for training events
  • Manage participant lists and schedule virtual and in-person training sessions based on organizational needs
  • Validate and process training completions, rosters, and LMS records
  • Support end users with Learning Management System (LMS) and Degreed platform usage, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Partner with global teams to support LMS and learning platform initiatives
  • Gather, print, order, and manage instructional materials and supplies for learning events
  • Conduct translation reviews for regional training materials
  • Analyze training data and feedback to identify opportunities and support continuous improvement of learning resources
  • Lead global leadership training initiatives, including logistics, follow-up activities, strategy implementation, and train-the-trainer sessions
  • Establish and implement facilities management processes for rooms, buildings, and training assets used for in-person programs


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in training, project management, event planning, or similar roles
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Experience coordinating virtual and in-person training events
  • Experience managing training records and participant tracking
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Degreed
  • Strong organizational and operational coordination skills
  • Prior LMS administration experience strongly preferred


Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
  • Typically Tuesday - Thursday on-site in Warren, MI, Monday & Friday remote. Remote and onsite days may vary due to training delivery needs.
