Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.

We are looking for a Corporate Internal Communications Partner on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

This individual will support and advance executive messaging and thought leadership, developing impactful communications that align to key priorities while ensuring cohesive communication across various mediums, both internally and externally. This role will temporarily fill the need for approximately 50-75% of a full-time role’s capacity, ensuring the continuation of essential executive and leadership communication initiatives.


What You'll Do:
  • General
    • Work closely with senior leadership to advance executive thought leadership and engage employees across key strategic pillars.
    • Research, write, and execute thought leadership pieces, social media content, internal communications, and presentations that align with company, executive, and corporate affairs team goals.
    • Support message delivery and channel management for senior leadership team.
    • Manage executive and senior leadership content development for all employee forums, including Town Halls and Ask Us Anything meetings.
    • Provide comprehensive content support for various executive events, ensuring materials are appropriately tailored and delivered for the intended audience.
    • Support as needed executive messaging and content requests.
    • Create and manage social media content for key moments and leaders, including significant company achievements, leadership insights, and notable external engagements.
  • Additional Tech & Ops Specific Support
    • Support the development and delivery of communications for the Technology & Operations Quarterly Town Hall meetings, including drafting executive talking points, coordinating presentation decks, and handling follow-up communications.
    • Draft personalized communications from executive leadership to specific groups within Technology & Operations.
    • As relevant, support award nomination processes, ensuring detailed submission of nominations for relevant awards and managing the approval process.
    • Address ad hoc video requests, facilitating the production and distribution of video content for internal networks and groups.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create content for intranet.
    • Serve as an engaged member of the Tech & Ops conference planning team, collaborating with partners in the development and execution of a thoughtful and strategic content that meets program goals.
    • Serve as a partner in preparing conference and event speakers including supporting speaker and message coaching, reviewing presentation materials, facilitating prep and coordinating event logistics.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field; or a minimum of 10 years of relevant communications experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a communications role, with a strong preference for experience in executive communications, corporate communication, and social media.
  • Fortune 250/500 Corporate Internal Communications/Relations experience
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and impactful executive messages and thought leadership content.
  • Proven experience in creating strategic communications plans and content for a variety of media channels.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, demonstrating creativity, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external communications strategies and practices.

Preferred:
  • Agency experience is highly desired
  • Experienced in managing executive communication programs and delivering across multiple channels.
  • Organized and results-oriented, with the ability to plan and execute projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Executive presence with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and ability to manage privacy and confidentiality.
