We are seeking a Lean Business Partner on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid in San Diego, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead Gemba walks and implement standards workshops for suppliers as part of the expert network
  • Streamline workflows and implement Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement and Lean maturity (Daily Management, Problem Solving)
  • Facilitate Value Stream Mapping workshops and document outcomes to support process improvement initiatives
  • Lead complex process re-engineering, simplification, standardization, and optimization of global cross-functional processes as directed
  • Contribute to the development of a Continuous Improvement Transformation Community & Culture through active participation in workshops, forums, and training sessions
  • Promote LEAN and Process Excellence concepts and practices across the organization
  • Implement Change Management strategies in support of LEAN initiatives


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) or Black Belt (LSSBB) from a recognized institution
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Operations, Finance, or Management
  • 7–10 years of professional experience leading large, cross-functional LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Proven track record in implementing Lean Management Systems, including Daily Management, Problem Solving, Coaching, Gemba, Standard Work, and Leader Standard Work
  • Strong experience working with global supplier/partner development programs
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools, methodologies, and statistical analysis
  • Understanding of business models and core processes in the high-tech/software industry
  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter) is strongly preferred
  • Proven success in driving global process re-engineering within complex, multinational organizations, particularly in product management and learning development initiatives
  • Experience improving value propositions and driving revenue growth through LEAN methodologies
  • Strong facilitation skills in managing senior stakeholder relationships, leading workshops, and building strategic partnerships
  • Skilled in directing work across matrixed environments to achieve business objectives effectively and efficiently
  • Adept at navigating and facilitating change in dynamic, high-pressure environments
  • Capable of addressing resistance from senior stakeholders, overcoming business-as-usual mindsets, and advocating for LEAN benefits in low-awareness contexts
