Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Tableau Data Analyst on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Durham, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Tableau dashboards to track learner progress, compliance, and training effectiveness
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights using data storytelling techniques
- Build KPI-driven dashboards to highlight trends, risks, and performance metrics
- Define data requirements and partner with Data Engineering teams to support analytics initiatives
- Ensure accurate integration of LMS, Gainsight, Salesforce, and training data into enterprise data systems
- Identify data gaps and collaborate with IT teams to improve data quality and governance
- Support the development of standardized KPI frameworks, including ROI and training effectiveness metrics
- Analyze data to drive curriculum improvements and workforce readiness strategies
- Automate and standardize compliance reporting processes
- Maintain dashboards to monitor compliance risks and completion trends
- Support training initiatives focused on SQL, Tableau, and analytics skill development
- Share best practices for dashboard design, data visualization, and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics initiatives and reporting needs
- Document metrics, data lineage, and dashboard usage guidelines
- Support knowledge-sharing and mentoring across teams
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
- Experience with learning analytics, training data, or performance measurement frameworks
- Strong understanding of KPI frameworks and performance metrics
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience working with data integration across systems such as LMS, CRM, and data warehouses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and data storytelling abilities
- Experience supporting compliance reporting and audit readiness
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with enterprise data warehouses (EDW)
- Familiarity with systems such as Gainsight or Salesforce
- Experience in data governance and data quality initiatives
- Background in training, learning, or workforce development analytics
- Experience mentoring or training others in analytics tools and best practices
