Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Learning & Instructional Content Designer on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid in Peachtree Corners, GA.
The Learning Content Designer is responsible for developing engaging learning materials that meet defined learning objectives, use appropriate training modalities and methods, and follow established processes and adult learning principles.
Must provide work samples and/or a portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze role-specific learner needs and tasks to craft measurable learning objectives.
- Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new or update existing learning content.
- Work with multimedia teams to create or modify media assets for learning materials.
- Manage the content development process, including milestones, risks, review cycles, feedback implementation, and quality assurance.
- Monitor deliverables throughout implementation, translation, and launch processes, providing regular status updates to project teams.
- Evaluate learning content using qualitative and quantitative methods to drive design/development improvements and workflow efficiencies.
- Conduct technical or clinical training and sign-offs for teams supporting customer education.
- Develop and deliver training for Human Factors usability evaluations.
- Conduct lab-based skills training for physicians and care teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Instructional Design, Education, or Science/Engineering preferred).
- 3–7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Ability to sign off on applicable technical and/or clinical content.
- Experience designing and developing eLearning, instructor-led training, and assessments.
- Experience delivering training in professional or classroom settings.
- Knowledge and application of adult learning theory, analysis tools, evaluation methods, assessment best practices, and learning objective construction.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to create robust content solutions.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines while adapting to changes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to present solutions that drive alignment and cross-functional buy-in.
- Familiarity with instructional design processes, tools, and templates.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must provide work samples and/or a portfolio.
