Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.


Our Customer is seeking a Learning Design Specialist on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (Atlanta, GA or Knoxville, TN) with flexible remote days.


The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical, creative, and organizational skills, with a background in instructional design and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS). This role requires a flexible and innovative individual who can design engaging learning assets that meet the needs of our diverse audience. This individual must possess an open attitude and curiosity to technology and using new platforms, having a solution driven mindset and finding ways to be creative when using them.



Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop creative and engaging learning content that aligns with organizational goals and objectives such as videos, one-pagers, presentations, courses, and toolkits on a variety of platforms e.g. Articulate Rise, Canva, Shootsta, etc.
  • Create supporting documents and marketing content to promote learning programs and increase engagement among employees, e.g. program overviews, email banners, FAQ guides, one-pagers, visuals for events, podcasts, videos, etc.
  • Create templates using visual design principles to ensure content is appealing and aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Adapt learning models and materials in a simplified and comprehensible way for external faculty.
  • Work on a variety of PowerPoint documents such as strategy documents and proposals for the wider learning team.
  • Source licensed images and appropriate IP for learning programs.
  • Create visual reports for post program data.
  • Work with a variety of LMS and learning platforms to upload, test, and maintain SCORM files, courses and offerings; problem solve, test, and resolve issues with LMS to suit stakeholders needs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design, marketing, and LMS technology.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in instructional and graphic design, and multimedia tools with the ability to design visually appealing learning materials that are engaging and convey information effectively.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
  • Familiarity with SCORM files
  • Proficiency in writing and editing educational and marketing content.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating templates and presentations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage timelines, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and needs.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to work with various teams and stakeholders and troubleshoot issues related to content delivery and needs.
