Job description

A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Learning Technology Specialist to help support their business needs.

This role will provide hands-on operational and technical support for enterprise learning platforms, with a focus on system stability, platform enhancements, and end-user assistance.

Responsibilities include supporting LMS-to-LMS migrations, conducting data validation, and assisting with platform stabilization efforts. This role emphasizes execution and operational support rather than strategic ownership or migration leadership.

Responsibilities:

Platform Administration & Support

  • Support day-to-day administration of enterprise LMS and LXP platforms
  • Configure courses, curricula, assignments, audiences, and learning paths
  • Perform quality checks on content, metadata, and overall learner experience
  • Provide Tier 2 platform support, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when necessary

Operational Execution

  • Assist with content uploads, testing, and validation of SCORM and xAPI packages
  • Support release testing, regression testing, and post-release verification activities
  • Execute platform configuration changes based on defined requirements
  • Reduce operational backlogs, including tickets, cleanup efforts, and reporting requests

Data, Reporting & Integrations

  • Run and validate standard LMS and LXP reports
  • Perform data checks related to completions, assignments, and user access
  • Support validation of user data files and identify issues for escalation
  • Document recurring issues and patterns for IT or vendor escalation

Vendor & Stakeholder Support

  • Coordinate with platform vendor support teams on tickets and defect resolution
  • Support internal stakeholders, including L&D, HR, and IT, with platform-related inquiries
  • Document solutions, FAQs, and standard operating procedures

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise LMS or LXP platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning, Education, HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of LMS administration, learning assignments, and reporting processes
  • Experience working with SCORM and xAPI content standards
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as Cornerstone, Degreed, or Workday
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing workflows
  • Experience supporting platform upgrades, system migrations, or stabilization periods
  • Ability to work from defined requirements and established processes
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders in L&D, HR, and IT environments
  • Experience working in large, enterprise-scale learning environments

Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
  • Hybrid in Warren, MI - 3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week
