Job description
The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a lease & location management operation system.
We are looking for a Lease Analyst to join the team. This Lease Analyst role is responsible for reading commercial real estate leases and other legal documents and effectively abstracting key lease language into the location management software. This will include critical data such as lease terms, options, rent and other expenses, repairs & maintenance responsibilities and other legal clauses. A good candidate will have prior commercial real estate and/or property accounting experience, be familiar with reading real estate leases or other contracts and have a great attention to detail. In this role you will be a direct support to the Senior Real Estate Manager and Senior Lease Analyst(s).
Must be willing/able to work between 20-25 hours a week. Initial contract term is 3 months with possibility of contract extension.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly read each new lease document and associated lease amendments
- Abstract, input, and analyze information on leases, amendments, assignments, and other legal documents in accordance with departmental policies
- Develop a skilled understanding of the lease management software and enter completed abstract information into the database
- Audit client lease documents
- Effectively communicate issues and status with both internal and external resources
- Participate on client calls before and after the on boarding experience as needed
- Document all client requests in writing, preferably via email
Skills And Qualifications
- Prior experience abstracting Retail, Industrial, and Office leases (Required)
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate leases (Required)
- Prior experience reviewing CAM and TAX reconciliations (Preferred)
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to pay attention to details
- Understanding of office applications for document and spreadsheet usage
