We are seeking a Legal Analyst on a contract basis to support our customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid in Mountain View, CA.


Responsibilities:

  • Legal Analysis:
    • Obtain comprehensive legal insights regarding outbound sales and marketing practices in Tier 1, Tier 2, and ROW countries
    • Obtain and consolidate guidance on high volume marketing topics in identified regions
    • Playbook Creation:
    • Develop practical guidelines and playbooks focused on legal compliance for outbound sales and marketing efforts
    • Assist in the creation of a comprehensive legal marketing toolkit in selected regions
  • Team Support:
    • Provide ongoing support to T&M International PC on new questions/projects related to a market not yet covered to facilitate new product/feature launches, events, and campaigns
  • Deliverables - Playbook ? Q1/Q2 FY25:
    • Draft and finalize an International Outbound Sales and Marketing Playbook covering opt-in/opt-out requirements, consent language needed, and guardrails around:
      • Outbound calls and Pre-recorded calls
      • SMS marketing
      • Email marketing
      • Direct mail marketing
      • Sign ups at events
  • Overall marketing compliance - Marketing Toolkit ?Q3:
    • Assist with information gathering and development of additional country-specific Marketing Toolkits to live on Insight for specific regions.



Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a state bar (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a legal role with a focus on marketing and data privacy law (preferred)
  • Experience working with international legal frameworks
  • Strong understanding of international legal frameworks governing outbound sales and marketing practices, including data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Experience with legal research and analysis, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex legal information
  • Familiarity with legal issues related to high-volume marketing activities, including email marketing, SMS marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, and event marketing
  • Knowledge of opt-in/opt-out requirements, consent management, and data subject rights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly and concisely to both legal and non-legal audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product)
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to develop clear, concise, and user-friendly guidelines, playbooks, and toolkits
  • Experience with creating and maintaining legal documentation
