Job Title: Intake Specialist
100% Remote
20 hours/week; Working Hours: ideally 8:00am to 12:00pm EST
W2
$20-24/hour
Our client, a boutique law firm, is committed to providing outstanding legal services rooted in respect, empathy, transparency, and excellence. They are a small firm that focuses on business planning, business litigation, and estate planning. The firm values strong client relationships and is dedicated to achieving optimal results and client satisfaction for those we serve.
They are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Legal Intake Specialist to join the remote team. The Intake Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, gathering important information, assessing legal needs, and facilitating an efficient intake process. This role is vital in fostering strong, trusting relationships with clients from the outset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and interview potential clients to determine their legal needs fall within the areas of our practice while embodying the firm's values of respect and relationship-building.
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, maintaining a focus on building trust.
- Clearly communicate the firm’s services and processes.
- Collect and compile relevant client information and documents for case evaluation and intake.
- Input and maintain accurate records in the case management system (Clio).
- Schedule initial consultations with attorneys and follow up as needed to convert potential leads into retained clients.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards to ensure client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in a legal environment or customer service role is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and listening.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage time sensitive documents in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
