Job Description:

The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team, focusing primarily on:

  • Notifying and communicating with state and federal lien holders, ensuring lien reimbursement is compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Gathering medical records and communicating with medical providers.
  • Organizing medical records and ensuring efficient record keeping.
  • Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings.
  • Filing and organizing legal documents in electronic filing systems, including updating and maintaining client files in the Clio system.
  • Handling communication with clients and witnesses under attorney supervision.
  • Scheduling interviews, meetings, and court dates.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders.
  • Persistant communication with medical providers, lienholders and various health insurers.

Employment Type: Estimated at 30 hours per week. The firm has grown over the last several years so increased hours and opportunities will likely be available.

Location: This is a hybrid position, however, training will likely take place in large part in-office to start. Attending meetings between client and attorney, especially intakes, will be a big help. Can organize in-office time around family or other obligations such as a child's school schedule.

Benefits (if applicable):
