Our Customer’s mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through their family of apps and services, they are building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together.

We are seeking a Legal Pricing Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Washington, D.C., or NYC.

Responsibilities:

  • Support EMEA-related legal spend management initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and operational priorities.
  • Review, benchmark, and negotiate law firm rate cards and AFAs for EMEA and APAC regions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to implement AFAs on high-spend matters and deliver AFA training to stakeholders.
  • Manage RFP processes end-to-end, from template creation and vendor coordination to post-submission evaluations and interviews with legal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and external vendors to develop RFP templates and maintain best practices.
  • Conduct legal market analysis and benchmarking to support and substantiate rate negotiations with external counsel.
  • Draft and maintain process documentation, playbooks, and pricing models to guide consistent global practices.
  • Engage directly with law firms to negotiate matter-specific pricing and manage rate discussions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8–10+ years of experience in legal pricing, commercial finance, or procurement, with a focus on outside counsel management and benchmarking.
  • Proven experience negotiating hourly rates and AFAs across EMEA and APAC markets.
  • Strong understanding of legal pricing structures and financial modeling for pricing and operational improvements.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or legal consulting environment, ideally with global exposure.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • High proficiency in Google and Microsoft suites; familiarity with AI-enabled tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with cross-functional (XFN) partners and drive consensus.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Strong business acumen and comfort managing financial discussions.
  • Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively across global teams and multiple time zones.

Preferred:

  • Experience working within corporate legal departments (tech, financial services, or life sciences).
  • Familiarity with AI, eBilling, or RFP software.
  • Experience using Tableau or similar dashboarding tools for spend analysis.
  • Exposure to global pricing committees or strategic matter pricing initiatives.
  • Prior private practice experience in legal pricing or revenue management.
