Screening Questions
- Walk us through how you would manage Jay's inbox and calendar on a day when a court deadline is approaching, a new client needs intake processing, and a scheduling conflict arises with opposing counsel — all at the same time. What does your triage process look like?
- Family law clients are often going through emotionally difficult situations. Describe a time you had to deliver unwelcome news or handle a frustrated client in a professional setting. How did you approach it, and what would you do differently in hindsight?
- Have you worked with MyCase or a similar practice management system? Describe how you've used it — specifically around case file organization, client intake, or deadline tracking. If you haven't used MyCase, what system have you used and how quickly do you typically get up to speed on new software?
- You're stuck on a deserted island with only three productivity tools — no internet, just the tools themselves. You can pick anything: a whiteboard, a legal pad, a color-coding system, a timer, a specific app. What three do you bring, and what does that say about how you stay organized?
