Job description

A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract LMS Administrator to help support their business needs.

The LMS Operations and Data Strategist supports our client globally by leading learning operations, data analysis, compliance governance, and cross-functional collaboration. This role optimizes the processes, reporting, and data integrations that support the Learning Management System (LMS) and related technologies.

This role partners with Global HR Talent Management, IT, country stakeholders, functional learning leaders, shared service centers, and other enterprise teams. The LMS Operations and Data Strategist translates business needs, compliance requirements, and learning data into scalable solutions that improve learner experience, training record accuracy, Corporate Required Training governance, and decision-making.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, operational discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and improve learning operations that support global LMS effectiveness, compliance, and business readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex LMS issues across learner access, training status, content, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Manage support tickets and provide advanced Tier 2 support, including root cause analysis and timely resolution.
  • Support Corporate Required Training (CRT), including assignments and reporting.
  • Partner with Legal, HR, and business stakeholders to ensure learning programs meet compliance, governance, and documentation requirements.
  • Serve as a key contact for stakeholders and learning partners to align priorities, timelines, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze learner, training, and integration data to identify trends, risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics that support compliance and business decisions.
  • Maintain data integrity across learner records, assignments, completions, learner groups, deficiency reports, and system integrations.
  • Support the learning technology roadmap by identifying operational impacts, integration needs, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate course setup, testing, launch, maintenance, and reporting with instructional designers, SMEs, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Support course administration for assigned business functions, including creation, maintenance, reporting, and learner support.
  • Manage ILM documents and guide teams on file storage, retention, and governance.
  • Create and improve standard work, job aids, best practices, and governance processes for LMS administration and reporting.
  • Support audit readiness through documentation review, evidence collection, and follow-up on training compliance and records.
  • Deliver strong customer service, accountability, and collaboration across global business functions in support of GBS service excellence.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business Administration, or a related field, or an associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in learning operations, LMS administration, training data analysis, reporting, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting global LMS operations, data analysis, project delivery, and learning measurement.
  • Experience with Corporate Required Training, compliance tracking, audit readiness, and governance in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to build reports, dashboards, and analytics that support decision-making.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and file merging.
  • Experience managing complex projects involving learner, training, business, country, or group data integrations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience creating standard work, best practices, and governance processes that improve learning operations.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, HR, business functions, shared services, and learning stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting the full course lifecycle, including setup, testing, launch, maintenance, and reporting.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage conflict, and influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.

Adaptability: Adapts to changing priorities, manages competing deadlines, and maintains strong ownership, attention to detail, and data accuracy. Balances operational responsiveness with strategic thinking, identifies risks early, and drives timely resolution.

Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
