We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Two shifts: 1) Monday to Friday: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, 2) Friday to Monday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm EST. Please list your location and your preferred shift with your resume.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee shipment delivery, transportation processes, and systems for the organization by developing a high-level view of current capabilities and challenges, and forming recommendations for procedural improvements to enhance efficiency and support business objectives.
- Coordinate logistics schedules, liaising with key stakeholders to determine and implement efficient planning and use of resources.
- Coordinate logistics schedules between merchants, internal departments, and distribution centers.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Build and tender shipments to partner carriers.
- Make special shipping arrangements as necessary.
- Track and resolve shipping errors.
- Prepare bills and invoices.
- Ensure the quality of all services provided meets required standards and SLAs.
- Perform regular audits of logistics procedures to maintain a high-level view of organizational logistics capabilities.
- Optimize transport planning for maximum efficiency for customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate pre-shipment and post-shipment administration.
- Manage track and trace activities, proof of delivery, and overages, shortages, and damaged shipment issues.
- Evaluate, record, and respond to additional or special service requests (e.g., lift-gate, inside delivery).
- Work with transportation providers and freight payment teams to ensure proper accessorial cost management and payment flows.
- Handle damage and loss claims.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a logistics and transportation role.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
