We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator on a contract basis to support the Customer's Outbound Transportation team. This position will be 100% remote, hours are Monday to Friday 7am – 4pm CST.
What You'll Do:
- Point of contact for contracted carriers, retail stores and distribution centers.
- Perform daily carrier track & trace.
- Proactively follow up as required to ensure desired service results.
- Communicate potential service failures to the appropriate parties (i.e.: supervisor, carrier, store).
- Proactively follow up with stores to ensure specialized deliveries are occurring as scheduled.
- If needed, Tender outbound loads to contracted carriers through, TMS (E2Open).
- Execute a variety of intermediate-to-advanced reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Audit carrier and delivery schedules for accuracy.
- Answer customer service hotline as a support function and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as requested.
Must-haves:
- Minimum 12 months domestic transportation planning experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and advanced excel skills.
- Proficient computer skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to new software programs and systems.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong organization and follow-up skills.
- TMS experience preferred.
- Able to work remotely with reliable internet and phone access.
- Flexibility in daily task assignments.
- Enjoy working in a team environment but follow through on own deliverables daily.
- Ability to follow standard operation procedures with little oversight.
- Able to evaluate situations and make informed decisions.
- Deadline-driven, self-starter who is committed to your role.
