We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator on a contract basis to support the Customer's Outbound Transportation team temporarily for a multi-month contract. This position will be 100% remote, 16 hours per week, hours are Saturday and Sunday 7am – 4pm CST.
What You'll Do:
- Be the point of contact for contracted carriers, retail stores and distribution centers.
- Perform daily carrier track & trace.
- Communicate loads at risk of service failure.
- Proactively follow up with stores to ensure specialized deliveries are occurring as scheduled.
- Execute a variety of intermediate-to-advanced reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Audit carrier and delivery schedules for accuracy.
- Answer customer service hotline as a support function and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as requested.
Must-haves:
- Minimum 12 months domestic transportation planning experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to new software programs and systems.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to work remotely with reliable internet and phone access.
- Enjoy working in a team environment but follow through on own deliverables daily.
- Ability to follow standard operation procedures with little oversight.
- Able to evaluate situations and make informed decisions.
- Deadline-driven, self-starter who is committed to your role.
- Thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
