Job description
Our Customer is the world's leading music company that owns and operates a broad array of businesses engaged in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in more than 60 countries. They identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in NYC.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate domestic and international logistics for merchandise shipments
- Manage inbound shipments to ecommerce warehouses, retail distribution centers, and tour locations
- Coordinate time-sensitive product launches and high-priority merchandise shipments
- Track shipments and proactively resolve shipping and delivery issues
- Manage customs-related issues and coordinate timely resolutions with all stakeholders
- Communicate shipment updates to internal teams, vendors, carriers, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate shipment tracking and logistics documentation
- Coordinate with multiple parties to ensure timely delivery of merchandise
- Manage high volumes of email communications while maintaining organization and responsiveness
- Support logistics activities outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of logistics or supply chain coordination experience
- Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments
- Experience resolving customs clearance issues
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience with LTL shipping and transportation networks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Experience using Monday.com for project or shipment tracking
- Experience with FedEx Advanced Shipment Tracking and UPS Quantum View
- Willingness to work outside standard business hours when required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience shipping merchandise or apparel products
- Experience in music merchandising, entertainment, or event logistics
- Experience supporting merchandise operations for studios, entertainment companies, or live events
