We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
The Logistics Coordinator will oversee shipment delivery, transportation processes, and logistics systems across the organization. This role involves coordinating schedules, ensuring shipping accuracy, managing carrier relationships, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and support business objectives. The position requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to deliver high-quality logistics services.
This role will be required to work one of the following schedules:
- Monday - Friday, 11 am - 7 pm EST
- Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2 pm EST
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics schedules between merchants, internal departments, and distribution centers.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Build and tender shipments to partner carriers.
- Make special shipping arrangements as required.
- Track and resolve shipping errors.
- Prepare bills and invoices.
- Ensure all logistics services meet required standards and SLAs.
- Conduct regular audits of logistics procedures to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Optimize transport planning for efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate pre-shipment and post-shipment administration.
- Oversee Track & Trace, Proof of Delivery, and resolution of overages, shortages, and damaged shipment issues.
- Evaluate and respond to special service requests (e.g., lift-gate, inside delivery).
- Partner with transportation providers and freight payment teams to ensure proper accessorial costs and flows.
- Handle damage and loss claims.
- Troubleshoot and resolve safety, service, and operational issues as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in logistics and transportation is required.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
