We are seeking a Logistics Associate on a contract basis to oversee the end-to-end inventory lifecycle across a retail network. This role serves as the central point of coordination between warehouses, retail locations, and technology teams. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day execution of product replenishment and order fulfillment, while also identifying gaps in existing systems and driving enhancements to logistics tools and processes.
This role is on-site in Burlingame, CA.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Procurement
- Manage inventory integrity across all supply chain nodes, from the distribution center to the retail back-of-house
- Analyze sales trends and stock levels to execute timely product replenishment and prevent stockouts or overstock
- Partner with Merchandising and Sales teams to forecast inventory needs based on seasonality, promotions, and new launches
- Manage non-consumable inventory, including demo units, display assets, new store opening kits, and operational supplies
Fulfillment & Transaction Support
- Monitor daily order lifecycle to ensure accurate transaction processing and adherence to SLA timelines
- Serve as an escalation point for shipping delays, transaction errors, and receiving discrepancies
- Coordinate with 3PL partners and internal warehouses to resolve fulfillment issues
- Track and report logistics KPIs, including On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), order accuracy, and processing speed
Systems Optimization & Process Improvement
- Act as subject matter expert for inventory management systems and ERP platforms
- Identify system inefficiencies, bugs, and feature gaps; partner with Technology and Product teams to define enhancements
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new tools and system updates prior to organizational rollout
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency in physical and digital inventory processes
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or retail logistics operations
- Experience working in retail environments supporting store-level supply chain operations
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience across Sales, Merchandising, Operations, and Technology teams
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and large dataset analysis
- Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Shopify, or similar platforms
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate operational requirements into technical specifications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced retail environments
