We are seeking a Logistics Program Manager on a 12-month contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. Candidates must be able to commute to either Sunnyvale or Burlingame, CA.
The Logistics Project Manager oversees end-to-end purchase order execution for Meta's Robotics program, coordinating across Procurement, external vendors, and Logistics Operations to ensure efficient material delivery. Requires 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, including purchase order management, with experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing environments. Experience with global logistics and customs/import-export processes for hardware components is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End PO Management: Own and track purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring on-time performance and proactively escalating risks or delays.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between Procurement, vendors, and Logistics Operations to ensure seamless handoffs and clear communication at every stage.
- Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance against delivery commitments, flag issues early, and drive resolution to maintain material flow.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the PO-to-delivery pipeline and implement improvements that accelerate material movement and reduce cycle times.
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead logistics-related projects that support Robotics organization priorities — including new supplier onboarding, warehouse/routing optimization, and scaling logistics for new programs.
- Reporting & Visibility: Maintain accurate tracking dashboards and provide regular status updates to stakeholders on PO health, delivery timelines, and project milestones.
- Risk Mitigation: Anticipate supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to protect delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management
- 5+ years of experience managing end-to-end purchase order and procurement workflows
- Experience in hardware, robotics, or manufacturing logistics environments
- Experience with customs/import-export processes for hardware components
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing, labor, material planning, and logistics cost analysis
- Understanding of shipping, production, and supply chain regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and logistics reporting/dashboard tools
- Ability to develop reports, communicate project status, and provide regular stakeholder updates
- Basic mentoring and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Dangerous goods experience
- Experience with Oracle, GTM Salesforce, SQL
- Exp w/ Asia to US supply chain
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
