Logistics Service Provider Lead (100% Remote)

We are seeking a Logistics Service Provider Lead on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote (PST preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage relationships with global express carriers and implement a carrier performance framework
• Conduct periodic carrier business reviews with management and cross-functional teams
• Identify new regional and local carrier candidates, including app-based parcel services
• Establish carrier selection criteria, evaluate candidates, manage the selection process, and drive final selection in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
• Negotiate agreements and statements of work with carriers to secure best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to drive negotiation strategies, identify cost reduction opportunities, and optimize carrier pricing and service levels
• Build relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organization to align objectives and articulate strategy with a focus on innovation and growth in parcel distribution
• Proactively identify opportunities outside the functional area and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive innovation and growth across logistics categories
• Collaborate with logistics operations, network design, application management, and solution leads from prototype through mass production and reverse logistics
• Ensure the lowest total landed costs while maintaining superior service levels across the logistics network

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of direct experience sourcing or managing express carrier services, or experience in a commercial role at a global express integrator
• Experience operating within e-commerce environments and logistics networks
• Strong leadership capabilities with proven cross-functional teamwork skills
• Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of management
• Experience navigating ambiguity and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of management.

• Logistics procurement (perhaps from DHL Express, UPS, or FedEx)
