Job description
Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.
We are seeking a Manager of Partner Relations on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (onsite 3 days a week) at our Customer's San Francisco, CA.
The Manager of Partner Relations will provide high-touch management of Games global distribution partnerships in the mobile publishing business. The ideal candidate for this role will have outstanding relationship-building capabilities, a strategic mindset with the ability to execute, and previous experience in partner relations, account management, and/or strategic partnerships.
Reporting to the Head of Partner Relations & Mobile Brand Partnerships, the Manager of Partner Relations will be responsible for working closely with internal game development teams and key distribution and brand partners to drive Games mobile distribution and growth strategy globally.
What You'll Do:
- Manage, support, and grow global strategic business relationships with distribution partners (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play, Galaxy Store, etc.) and future mobile brand partners
- Manage the processes by which the entire Partner Relations organization works to maximize the potential visibility of the games.
- Document distribution platform best practices, minimum technical standards, brand/licensors playbooks, etc.
- Portfolio plan merchandising efforts for existing games as well as new game launches from start to finish on distribution platforms
- Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the Partner Relations team to facilitate efficient decision making.
- Assist with creative positioning, pitch strategies, and presentation materials for existing and prospective strategic partners in order to maximize the visibility of Games titles and initiatives online and offline.
- Maintains calendar and requirements for all partner-related deliverables and events
- Collaborates with growth and analytics teams to provide timely recaps and case studies to partners
- Capture meeting agendas & priorities, record and distribute meeting minutes, and follow up on deliverables with all stakeholders.
- Conduct market-based and strategic research to provide thought leadership to cross-functional teams.
- Track the performance of publishing efforts collaborating with partners.
- Coordinate with internal functional team members to ensure the delivery of continuous and effective product merchandising and promotional opportunities for Games initiatives.
- Collaborate to ensure amazing roadmap of mobile games receives world-class merchandising placement on the mobile storefronts, throughout the product lifecycle - both at and after the initial launch.
What You'll Need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- 3+ years of Partner Relations, Business Development, or Account Management experience
- Gaming experience required
- Passion & love for video games
- Experience working directly with Apple, Google, and/or other distribution platform partners
- Experience analyzing data to make data-driven decisions - skills in Excel and Google Sheets necessary
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
- Ability to project manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes
- Strong presentation and communication skills
