Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.

We are seeking a Manager Social Editor on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Culver City, CA.

As a Social Editor, you will play a key role in shaping social-first creative and culturally resonant content that connects premium entertainment programming with social audiences in a way that feels native to each platform.

Working at the intersection of entertainment, culture, and digital storytelling, you will translate programming priorities into platform-native social content, fan engagement moments, and talent-driven video concepts that drive awareness, fandom, and audience growth.

This role blends hands-on video editing and production expertise with a strong understanding of what makes content perform, bringing entertainment brands and programming to life across social platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of social-first creative strategies that drive awareness, fandom, and engagement across entertainment programming and brand channels.
  • Translate programming priorities into platform-native video concepts, social content series, and fan engagement initiatives.
  • Concept, pitch, and execute original social content ideas and formats.
  • Identify emerging trends, cultural moments, and real-time opportunities to inform content direction.
  • Balance always-on social content, trend-driven moments, and campaign-focused video support.
  • Collaborate on end-to-end social video production from concept development through post-production and publishing.
  • Ensure content aligns with platform-specific formats, audience behaviors, and best practices across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and emerging platforms.
  • Concept and oversee talent-driven social video content aligned with brand voice, audience expectations, and programming goals.
  • Maintain a high creative standard for video editing, pacing, storytelling, and visual execution.
  • Adapt messaging and storytelling approaches to different social platforms and audience segments.
  • Partner with social strategy teams to monitor content performance and engagement metrics.
  • Identify high-performing formats, editing styles, and storytelling approaches to inform future content strategies.
  • Optimize social content based on platform insights, audience behavior, and performance trends.
  • Review and approve social assets and post copy prior to publishing.
  • Ensure content accuracy, cultural relevance, and brand consistency across campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams, production partners, talent teams, and other stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
  • Maintain flexibility for occasional nights and weekends during launches, live events, or major cultural moments.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in brand marketing, social media strategy, creative content development, or related fields.
  • Experience within entertainment, media, sports, or agency environments.
  • Demonstrated experience developing social-first creative and culturally relevant content.
  • Experience conceptualizing and executing talent-driven social content.
  • Strong understanding of content performance across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X, and emerging social platforms.
  • Strong creative instincts with the ability to translate entertainment programming into engaging social content.
  • Expertise in video editing, pacing, structure, and storytelling.
  • Deep understanding of internet culture, fandom communities, creators, and social trends.
  • Strong understanding of short-form and long-form social video content strategies.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Experience using social media publishing and analytics tools such as ListenFirst, Sprout, Sprinklr, Monday.com, Airtable, or Asana.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to guide and provide feedback to editors and designers to elevate creative quality.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through execution in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of platform-native content formats and audience engagement strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with entertainment brands, sports organizations, streaming platforms, or media companies.
  • Familiarity with talent management workflows and on-set production processes.
  • Experience developing social-first video content and creative campaigns.
  • Background in social creative development or digital storytelling.
  • Experience working within large, matrixed organizations.
