Job description

Our Customer is a technology company that connects people with the best of their neighborhoods across the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. They enable local businesses to meet consumers’ needs of ease and convenience, and, in turn, generate new ways for people to earn, work, and live. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, they’re fulfilling their mission to grow and empower local economies.

We are seeking a Technology Sourcing Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing and category strategy for SaaS and software solutions, including evaluation, selection, contracting, and lifecycle management.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for SaaS/software suppliers, coordinating proof-of-concepts, tracking outcomes, and managing full-cycle adoption decisions.
  • Act as the Program Management Office (PMO) for high-impact software pilots, ensuring structured tracking, reporting, and cross-functional alignment with stakeholders.
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, Legal, Product, and Finance to establish supplier strategy, risk frameworks, and best practices.
  • Execute RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) processes to evaluate innovative SaaS/software solutions, balancing performance, cost, risk, and long-term business value.
  • Negotiate complex SaaS supplier contracts (MSAs, SOWs, licensing, and service agreements) to protect commercial, technical, and legal interests.
  • Establish sourcing frameworks to enable stakeholder self-service, while providing guidance on high-complexity or strategic engagements.
  • Track supplier performance, market trends, and emerging software capabilities to inform sourcing strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Deliver measurable business impact through supplier consolidation, cost optimization, and value-added partnerships.
  • Champion a stakeholder-focused mindset, ensuring strong alignment, clear communication, and trusted advisory support to business partners.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
  • 7+ years of sourcing and procurement experience, with demonstrated success in software and SaaS category management.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier landscapes across SaaS providers and enterprise software.
  • Proven track record in managing software sourcing pilots and adoption programs.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with experience in structuring complex SaaS/software contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, Legal, Finance, and Product teams.
  • Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and risk-aware decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a stakeholder-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities with precision.

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.
