Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.


We are seeking a Market Research Consultant on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote - EST hours.


Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm EST



Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal business research projects from planning through delivery
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative market research efforts, including scoping, timelines, and stakeholder coordination
  • Develop research materials, including screeners, discussion guides, and survey questionnaires
  • Manage qualitative recruiting efforts and coordinate interviews/focus groups as needed
  • Program surveys and oversee fieldwork execution for quantitative research studies
  • Analyze research findings and synthesize results into clear, actionable insights
  • Build high-quality presentations that communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Present insights and research outcomes to internal audiences and business partners
  • Support business intelligence and analytics needs by leveraging data to generate insights and inform decision-making
  • Apply correlation and regression analysis techniques to interpret trends and relationships in data when needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure research outputs align with business goals and decision-making needs


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of market research project management experience (ideal range: 2–6 years)
  • Direct experience leading qualitative and quantitative research projects end-to-end
  • Experience writing screeners, discussion guides, questionnaires, and managing recruiting for qualitative research
  • Experience in programming surveys and analyzing results to develop presentations of key findings
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a comfort level in presenting to internal stakeholders
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to translate research outputs into compelling insight storytelling
  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics preferred
  • Hands-on experience with correlation analysis and regression preferred
  • Experience using Python and data visualization tools, such as Tableau, preferred
  • Familiarity with AI tools in the research and analytics space is preferred
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (financial services, banking, insurance) preferred
