Marketing Data Analyst
Contract to Hire
20-30 hours/week
Remote
This role will support our customer's Marketing department by providing data-driven insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations that will enhance marketing campaigns and overall company growth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about analyzing data, interpreting market trends, and working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize marketing strategies.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
Daily Responsibilities:

Monitor and track key marketing metrics (website traffic, social media engagement, email performance).

Review daily reports and performance dashboards to identify trends or concerns.

Analyze lead generation metrics, including conversion rates, cost per lead, and customer acquisition costs.
Weekly Responsibilities:-
Provide weekly performance summaries of ongoing marketing campaigns.

Prepare insights on lead performance and segmentation metrics for the team.

Assist in the creation of A/B testing plans and review results to optimize marketing efforts.
Monthly Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly marketing performance reports for leadership, highlighting successes, trends, and areas for improvement.

Evaluate ROI for each marketing campaign and channel, including paid advertising and organic initiatives.

Conduct deep-dive analyses into major metrics (e.g., customer lifetime value, churn rates, and retention rates)
Daily Responsibilities:

Stay updated on industry trends, news, and competitor activities by monitoring key resources.

Gather competitive intelligence and data on new market opportunities.

Analyze customer feedback and surveys to identify emerging needs or trends.
Weekly Responsibilities:

Conduct research on competitors’ marketing strategies and product offerings.

Track competitors' digital marketing campaigns and summarize key takeaways for internal review.

Monitor changes in market conditions and assess their potential impact on marketing strategies.
Monthly Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth market analysis and present findings to the marketing team.

Analyze competitor product launches and marketing efforts to identify threats or opportunities.

Develop a monthly report on competitive positioning and market dynamics.
Daily Responsibilities:

Monitor real-time performance of marketing campaigns (email, social media, PPC).

Ensure tracking and attribution systems are set up correctly for all campaigns.

Identify and flag underperforming campaigns or ads for review.
Weekly Responsibilities:

Provide weekly reports on campaign KPIs and suggest improvements or optimizations.

Track engagement metrics for social media and digital advertising campaigns.

Prepare detailed analyses of campaign performance, including user behavior and conversions.
Monthly Responsibilities:

Evaluate and present the overall effectiveness of monthly campaigns.

Perform post-mortem analyses for completed campaigns to determine ROI and performance.

Generate a monthly campaign performance report and suggest adjustments to optimize future campaigns.
Daily Responsibilities:

Establish and review CRM data to identify high-value customer segments.

Monitor audience behavior data to track engagement and purchasing patterns.

Assist in segmenting leads and customers based on attributes such as industry, behavior, and purchase history.
Weekly Responsibilities:

Work with the marketing team to ensure customer segments are properly aligned with campaign objectives.

Generate insights on which customer segments are most profitable or show high engagement.

Support targeted outreach strategies by helping define ideal customer profiles (ICP).
Monthly Responsibilities:

Provide a monthly breakdown of the effectiveness of customer segments in driving conversions and revenue.

Assess the performance of different customer segments and make recommendations for more refined targeting.

Analyze customer journeys for various segments and identify opportunities for better engagement.
Daily Responsibilities:

Ensure proper implementation and tracking of marketing automation tools.

Review system performance to ensure that marketing platforms like HubSpot, and Google Analytics are functioning correctly.

Troubleshoot any issues with marketing technology or analytics tools.
Weekly Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize workflows within automation platforms.

Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and performance tracking tools.

Assist in refining and enhancing marketing automation workflows based on data insights.
Monthly Responsibilities:

Assess the overall effectiveness of marketing technology tools and recommend improvements or new tools as necessary.

Provide a monthly summary on how automation tools are impacting marketing efficiency and lead generation.

Work with the IT team to implement updates, integrate new technologies, and troubleshoot any system errors.

Required Skills & Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
-
3-5 years of experience in a data-driven marketing role.

Strong proficiency with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar platforms.

Experience with CRM systems, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and marketing automation platforms.
-
Excellent analytical skills with a keen ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams.
