Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.

We are searching for a Marketing Analytics Specialist on a contract basis to support our customer's ongoing business needs. This is a remote role with EST hours.

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Analytics Contractor will support the Analytics and Marketing team. This individual will work closely with the Analytics team to provide insights from campaigns and to build and manage automated reporting for new initiatives. This role will synthesize these campaign insights into recommendations and support the delivery of new reporting to key stakeholders. Usage of data mining and analytical tools is a core part of this role. Additionally, historical analysis will be a critical element in the role.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Complete end-to-end campaign analysis of historical and ongoing 2024 acquisition campaign performance; identify successful campaigns and work with the analytics leader to produce actionable recommendations
• Partner with marketing leads and finance lead in ongoing assessment of acquisition and lifecycle strategies
• Leverage existing internal reporting to capture run rate, understand customer behavior and refine the engagement strategy
• Partner with the analytics team to identify Device Financing transactions and build automated reporting and data visualizations to track the launch of the new initiative
• Provide support for standard and ad hoc reports as necessary; data pulls, formatting, loading into reporting / analytics systems
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelors degree, or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience in analytics
• 3+ years of experience in analytics, preferably within financial services, retail, or credit card payments
• 3+ years of experience with analytical tools including SAS, SQL, and Tableau

Desired Characteristics:
• Experience utilizing SAS or SQL for data mining and dataset creation
• Ability to provide analytical support including data pulling and validation, writing optimized code, extrapolating views through efficient data manipulation, and strategic thinking
• Strong communication, problem solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or BIRST
• Experience measuring marketing campaigns and interpreting results
• Ability to excel in a remote environment while holding a high level of personal accountability and drive
• Strength in working with / pulling data in various formats and the ability to efficiently aggregate in a manner discernible to the broader team
