Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking a Marketing Automation & Email Experience Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is primarily remote in Sunnyvale, CA, with periodic on-site work as required.



Responsibilities:

  • Create responsive, mobile-friendly, and dark-mode-optimized emails and landing pages using Marketo and Knak.
  • Develop, launch, and optimize Marketo programs for email sends, nurtures, webinars, and events.
  • Code and troubleshoot HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Velocity scripting for dynamic and personalized experiences.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing for rendering and deliverability using Email on Acid or Knak, ensuring functionality across clients and devices.
  • Run A/B tests, measure performance, and recommend design and segmentation improvements.
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders on UX/UI best practices, audience targeting, and campaign optimization.
  • Explore new automation techniques, personalization methods, and integrations to enhance customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with creative, brand, and regional marketing teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Participate in regular Zoom meetings with stakeholders and the Marketo team to align on timelines and deliverables.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Marketo; proficiency in Knak, Litmus, or Email on Acid.
  • 2–3 years of experience building emails and landing pages.
  • Advanced HTML/CSS skills with a strong understanding of responsive email design.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and Velocity scripting.
  • Experience designing and testing email and landing page templates.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Photoshop, or Dreamweaver.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with proven stakeholder alignment ability.
  • Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a purposeful on-site setup with periodic in-office collaboration.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with Veeva PromoMats or other content approval workflows.
  • Understanding of marketing data standards, privacy compliance (GDPR), and automation best practices.
