Position Overview

Our client is a private college counseling firm that, as a team, leverages our multi-faceted expertise to empower students as independent young adults, in addition to strong college applicants. They believe the college admissions process should be thoughtful, strategic, and student-centered.


They are seeking a part-time Marketing Manager to support and elevate their brand presence, expand their reach, and strengthen communication with prospective and current families. The Marketing Manager will oversee the creation and execution of marketing initiatives across digital platforms and client-facing materials. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on implementation. You will collaborate closely with leadership to ensure that all marketing efforts align with the brand voice and growth goals.


This is a remote, part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) for a detail-oriented, strategic, and creative professional who is excited to help shape the voice and visibility of a mission-driven education company.


Primary Responsibilities

Social Media Creation & Delivery

  • Plan and manage a consistent content calendar across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms as deemed beneficial
  • Write and publish engaging content across platforms
  • Collaborate with team members to highlight student success stories and expertise
  • Track performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly

Website

  • Maintain and update website content to reflect current services, offerings, and events
  • Ensure messaging is clear, cohesive, and aligned with brand voice
  • Manage optimization for traditional search engine and AI search visibility
  • Coordinate blog/client case study publishing

Update Sales & Existing Client Materials

  • Revise and refresh digital and print materials
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across presentations, PDFs, and email templates
  • Support development of new collateral as services evolve

Event Registration & Promotion

  • Manage event setup, registration processes, and follow-up communication
  • Promote workshops, webinars, and in-person events
  • Track attendance and engagement metrics

Promotional Materials Design & Procurement

  • Design branded materials aligned with company brand
  • Coordinate ordering and distribution for events and team needs

Digital Marketing

  • Draft and schedule prospect email campaigns through HubSpot
  • Assist with drafting client-facing broadcast emails
  • Coordinate creation of blog and other content; write content as needed
  • Digital ad planning and implementation/evaluation

Media Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with local and regional media outlets
  • Identify partnership opportunities that increase brand visibility
  • Coordinate sponsored content or features

Marketing Research

  • Monitor industry trends in college admissions and education consulting
  • Research competitive positioning and growth opportunities
  • Provide insights to inform strategic decision-making

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management
  • Experience in education, college admissions, or youth development preferred
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects independently
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • A keen eye for detail and design (must be comfortable working in Canva)
  • Experience managing social media and email marketing platforms (HubSpot experience strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (experience with Webflow a plus)
  • Knowledge of digital advertising metrics and strategies
