Job Title: Part-Time Marketing Assistant (Entry-Level or Career Transition)

Location: Remote (Must be based in Eastern Standard Time)

Hours: 10 hours per week

Compensation: $25-$30 per hour

About Our Client

Our Client is a New Jersey-based digital marketing agency with a content-driven approach to driving better-quality leads for small business owners, freelancers, and teams. They are looking for a Part-Time Marketing Assistant to provide support across various marketing tasks for both our clients and our agency. This role is ideal for a recent graduate, an early-career professional, or an experienced professional transitioning into the marketing profession with limited experience seeking to gain skill sets in digital marketing. This position reports directly to the agency’s Founder and Head Marketing Consultant.

Role Overview

The Part-Time Marketing Assistant will support basic tasks pertaining to the website, blog, and social media content, SEO research, and CRM administrative tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, flexibility, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Support: Assist in writing and scheduling social media posts (LinkedIn, Instagram) for both clients and GrowthSpurt Strategies.
  2. Basic Content Design Support: Use Canva to create visually appealing graphics for social media (no advanced graphic design skills required).
  3. SEO Keyword Research: Assist in researching and compiling relevant keywords for blog content and web pages.
  4. Content Proofreading & Editing: Review and edit blog articles, social media copy, and website content for clarity and accuracy.
  5. Client Project Support: Help track client hours and compile client email updates.
  6. CRM Maintenance: Assist in updating and organizing client contact records in our CRM tool.
  7. Presentation Assistance: Help create PowerPoint presentations, slides, and marketing proposals for internal and client use.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Public Relations (or other related field).
  2. 0-3 years of professional experience (internships included) in marketing, content creation, or related fields.
  3. Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  4. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple small tasks efficiently.
  5. Must be located in the United States and based in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.

Ideal But Not Required

  1. Some experience with tools like HubSpot, Asana, Canva, WordPress, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Workspace a plus!
  2. Some experience with content ideation and audience research (secondary research).
  3. Interest in exploring and testing new digital marketing tools and platforms.
