Director of Sales & Marketing

Director of Sales & Marketing
JETPUBS Inc - Aerospace & Defense company
- Remote
Job description
JETPUBS is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to own revenue growth, lead our sales team, and shape how we show up in the aviation market.
This role combines sales leadership, marketing strategy, and industry presence. You’ll be responsible for building pipeline, leading a small but growing sales team, and ensuring marketing efforts directly support revenue. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO and play a meaningful role in company direction and long-term growth.
This is not a “manage from afar” role. We’re looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves, close deals, coach sales reps, refine messaging, and help architect what comes next.
What You’ll Be Doing
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Lead and develop a small, high-accountability sales team (service-based and/or SaaS selling).
- Own sales strategy, pipeline health, forecasting, and execution.
- Coach, mentor, and hold the sales team accountable to clear KPIs.
- Actively participate in deals—especially strategic, complex, or high-value opportunities.
- Partner with the CEO on pricing strategy, market positioning, and growth planning.
Marketing & Market Presence
- Oversee outbound marketing across email, LinkedIn, events, and industry channels.
- Ensure marketing efforts are tightly aligned with sales objectives and pipeline needs.
- Guide creation of thought leadership, case studies, and client success stories.
- Own trade show and conference strategy—from booth planning to on-site presence.
- Identify PR, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities that expand brand credibility.
Industry & Relationship Leadership
- Represent JETPUBS within aviation associations and industry groups.
- Build trusted relationships with partners, prospects, and key industry influencers.
- Step in on client calls when needed to ensure continuity and confidence.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Experience
- Proven experience leading small sales teams in a SaaS, services, or technology-enabled business.
- Demonstrated success building and executing sales strategy—not just carrying a quota.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and consultative selling.
- Experience aligning marketing execution directly to revenue outcomes.
Strongly Preferred
- Background in aviation, regulated industries, or complex B2B environments.
- Experience working closely with a CEO or executive leadership team.
- Comfort wearing multiple hats in a growth-stage company.
Personal Attributes That Matter Here
- Strategic thinker who still enjoys being in the weeds.
- Clear, confident communicator who can lead without ego.
- High ownership mentality—you see gaps and fill them.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, accountability, and pace.
- Purpose-driven and grounded, with an eye for “what’s next.”
Why This Role Is Different
- You report directly to the CEO and have real influence.
- You’ll help shape the future of a high-growth aviation company.
- Your work directly impacts client safety and operational excellence.
- You’ll have autonomy, trust, and the expectation to lead—not just execute.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary and performance-based incentives
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Growth opportunities as the company scales
