Pay for this role is up to $215,872 (base salary plus 401(k) matching plus time-entry bonus). Attorneys are encouraged to determine the number of hours they want to work, ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, and can choose their own annual billable-hour requirement between 700 and 1,410 hours.

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Law Transactional Attorney at the Partner, Counsel, or Senior Associate level, depending on years of experience and quality of work product. This can be either a full-time or part-time opportunity. The role is fully remote with flexible hours, provided you are available to clients when needed.
You will work with sophisticated enterprise clients on a wide variety of marketing law and transactional matters. For the right person, this role can provide a path to broader firm leadership.
What You'll Do
Marketing & Advertising Law
You will advise sophisticated businesses on a wide range of marketing, advertising, promotions, and consumer-facing legal issues, including:
- Review of advertising and marketing campaigns.
- Advertising claims, substantiation, disclosures, and disclaimers.
- Digital and social media marketing.
- Email and SMS marketing.
- Influencer and talent relationships.
- Sweepstakes, contests, and promotions.
- Loyalty and rewards programs.
- Consumer promotions.
- Sponsorships and branded content.
- Production and advertising agreements.
- Advertising insertion orders.
- Marketing agency agreements.
- Influencer agreements.
- Talent agreements.
- Sponsorship agreements.
- Marketing technology.
- Website and application content.
- Consumer-facing terms and disclosures.
- Marketing-related privacy issues.
- Consumer protection and advertising compliance.
You will help clients understand not simply whether something is legally permissible, but how to accomplish the business objective while appropriately managing legal and business risk.
You should be comfortable handling or willing to learn a broad range of transactions and soft-IP matters.
You should have or develop strong practical judgment around indemnification, limitation of liability, warranties, insurance, data security, intellectual property, and other key commercial provisions.
What We're Looking ForRequired
- At least 5 years of full-time marketing law experience specifically.
- Significant experience with a wide variety of marketing, advertising, consumer-facing, or related transactional legal work.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Experience hiring, onboarding, and training attorneys.
- Ability and willingness to learn and handle a broad range of day-to-day business legal issues.
- Strong client counseling skills.
- Ability to understand business objectives and provide practical legal advice.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A practical approach to legal service.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond for clients and teammates.

Education
- Graduation from a Top 60 U.S. law school OR graduation in the top 20% of your class.
Preferred
- Experience working with enterprise in-house legal departments.
- Experience serving as a secondment or embedded legal resource.
- Experience with sophisticated consumer-facing brands.
- Experience counseling on privacy issues that intersect with marketing.
- Experience with technology transactions.
- Experience with SaaS and marketing technology.
- CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification.
