ABOUT THE ROLE

The Content Lead is a part-time role for a creative, high-energy writer with a passion for startups. The ideal candidate loves crafting compelling, authentic stories of impact and developing educational content to support people to work better. They are inspired by newsletters like First Round Review and Raw Signal for their actionable insights and great storytelling about how to thrive at work, especially in startups.


You will draw from insights from the coaching sessions happening across Tandem to inspire your content. You will also build an intentional strategy to reach target audience of startup employees, HR leaders, and founders.


The Content Lead will report directly to the CEO. The role requires producing short-form and long-form content at a regular cadence and weekly meetings with the CEO. Here’s what your day-to-day breakdown might look like:


  • (50%) Long Form Content: Write 1000-2000 word blog posts and newsletters featuring educational content on coaching and startup success.
  • (30%) Short Form Content: Build social media presence on LinkedIn by sharing short form content paired with eye-catching graphics.
  • (20%) Growth Strategy: Own the big picture strategy for how to grow the company's online brand and presence.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong writer who loves crafting stories from real examples. This will involve interviewing customers, finding innovative ways to deliver a story, and publishing at a weekly cadence.
  • A self starter who loves proposing ideas, trying new experiments, and building alongside.
  • Passion for startups and how to build effective teams and cultures.
  • Skilled in writing short form content (ie. LinkedIn posts).
  • Skilled in writing long form content (ie. blogs and newsletters).
  • Skilled in creating clear, catchy graphics (i.e. on Canva).
  • Possesses a vision around building a company’s voice.
