Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.

This critical role requires a passionate and proven marketer with demonstrated ability to drive growth and change through a focus on customers, people, process, and innovation. This role will primarily be responsible for developing and executing the cardholder marketing strategy for assigned brands, with a heavy emphasis on early month-on-books, activation and usage, growth and retention strategies. The assigned brands are on a multi-year journey to drive significant penetration and sales growth, and this role would help deliver upon this goal.

The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally and with internal and clients teams to:

• Develop and execute marketing plans to drive key growth metrics, including profitable sales, activation and retention for the Qurate Credit Programs.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to drive cross-shop and repeat sales at the assigned brands.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns with test and learn approach; evaluate and report on marketing program results; and refine and optimize future campaigns based on past learnings.
• Manage multi-million dollar marketing funds to ensure optimal spend to drive profitable sales and new account volume.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Drive the strategy development and execution of campaigns across all lifecycle stages for existing cardholder audiences that drive maximum adoption and utilization while increasing customer satisfaction and profitable sales growth.
• Familiarity and experience with marketing systems for campaign execution and analysis, including: Workfront, Tableau, etc.
• Coordinate omni-channel marketing strategies, including traditional and digital marketing. Build on current plan and make recommendations for future strategies and enhancements.
• Partner with digital and servicing teams to maintain online servicing site and update/refresh existing cardholder facing landing pages and digital content.
• Assist in development of modeling, forecasting, and ongoing measurement of marketing activity and cardholder campaigns to ensure optimization of investment and brand awareness reach.
• Ensure program and Synchrony Financial performance goals are met.
• Ensure company compliance requirements are satisfied as well as protections from enterprise risk.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 9 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries
• A minimum of 4 years of total marketing experience that includes at least 4 years of consumer marketing experience and 3 years of digital marketing experience

Desired Characteristics:
• Marketing experience in credit card networks with emphasis on dual-card or cobrand experience, financial services, or retail industry
• Strong understanding of customer segmentation and test and learn strategies - including program/campaign design to effectively measure results.
• MBA from an accredited institution
• Ability to leverage technology and help create new products, channels, and business models
• Experience with web-based sales / marketing activities and/or mobile technologies
• Familiarity with loyalty programs and direct to consumer marketing strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent strategic, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative
• Quantitative and creative acumen
