Our Customer is a software vendor of cloud-based ERP that practices human capital management and financial management applications. They offer products and services that allow customers to oversee time tracking, procurement, employee data, financial accounting, and expense management at any time and anywhere. They continue to offer enterprise-level software solutions for financial management, human resources, and planning. Their proven methodology, expertise, community, tools, and education help ensure your organization’s success.

We are seeking a Marketing Program Manager (PM) on a contract basis to join our Customer's Marketing Project Management Office. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing Project Management, the Senior Marketing PM will program manage the revamp of the Company’s Customer Experience Center. Utilizing best-in-class program management practices, you will coordinate activities between multiple creative, technology, and real estate projects (without directly managing them). The ideal candidate will have experience with B2B Marketing design & content creation work, on-site and virtual customer events, and facilities management (new construction or tenant improvements). This is an individual contributor role and must be capable of influencing without authority at all levels of the organization (project team members and executives alike). This role is a hybrid setup in Pleasanton, CA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal program stakeholders, design agency, vendors, and internal & external project managers to create a frictionless flow of program information between all parties
  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of this complex, cross-functional program; partnering very closely with internal & external project managers to develop coordinated schedules and manage risks & issues to minimize impacts to scope, budget, and timeline
  • Track program budget
  • Synthesize project information across all workstreams to clearly communicate project strategy, progress updates, and risks/issues across multiple teams within the organization and at all levels within the org (from individual contributors to executive leadership)
  • Establish credibility with your partners and project team members so you can manage, motivate, and hold accountable project leads and team members in a matrixed organization
  • Collaborate globally to influence key partners on project scope/vision, solutions, budget, and schedule
  • Design and implement program governance
  • Proactively build strong, trusted working relationships with project leads, functional leaders, and business partners (e.g., Corporate Strategy, Sales, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Business Technology) to drive alignment and optimize project operations
  • Facilitate regular program team and sponsorship-level meetings to remove roadblocks and accelerate decisions
  • Employ problem-solving and analytical skills to risk management and issue resolution activities, identifying root cause(s), aligning partners on solutions & risk mitigation plans
  • Continually evaluate existing processes and procedures drive improvements and be a driving force for change when needed
  • Develop strong executive, peer, and stakeholder relationships, maintaining effective communication channels
  • Directly project manage creative deliverables in support of the re-launch of the Customer Experience Center’s physical space and overall program experience (including video content)

Must Haves:

  • 10+ years of confirmed experience leading complex, transformational programs, bringing together the technology, production, process, and people changes needed to deliver the program’s business value
  • Your portfolio of project experiences would ideally include a mix of:
    • Large-scale in-person and virtual events
    • Marketing content design & production, including knowledge of video production
    • Business technology implementations
    • Facilities/physical space improvements
  • Familiarity with the construction processes, including design, permits, schedules, RFI process, and build
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications preferred
  • High-level understanding of estimating and budgeting for construction projects
  • Experience with spend management and contract management software preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully managing expectations & priorities across many different stakeholder groups that span marketing, finance, technology, sales, and real estate teams in a global organization; Demonstrated ability to cut through the masses and identify key decision-makers
  • Detail-oriented while also maintaining focus on the larger business objectives
  • Curious nature that drives you to connect dots and solve problems in creative ways
  • Self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity and who thrives in fast-paced, multi-faceted environments
  • Exceptional communication skills - an active listener, able to convey complex ideas in a clear & concise manner both verbally and in writing to executive leadership, able to develop a multi-faceted communication plan identifying the various audiences that require program information and the right level of detail to be shared with each audience
  • High EQ - ability to lead through influence, build strong cross-functional partnerships, maintain a calm & collaborative environment for the project team, communicate with empathy, and handle conflict effectively
  • Comfortable with change, skilled at assessing an organization’s change tolerance and developing effective change management strategies
  • Strong budget management and project financial forecasting skills
  • Solid command of the project lifecycle and project management methodologies (PMI framework, agile/scrum, etc.)
  • Expertise with a full suite of project management tools for scheduling, budgeting & forecasting, status reporting

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • MBA or other advanced degrees or certifications preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

Hours & Location

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is a hybrid setup in Pleasanton, CA.
